Scholarships & Awards List

Internal recipients are selected by the Windsor Scholarship committee based on the submitted Scholarship Application. For outside Scholarships, please see External Scholarships page. External Scholarships - Windsor Counselling (weebly.com)



BC District / Authority scholarships

Recipients must meet the basic eligibility requirements and meet criteria determined by the local scholarship committee, which requires a student to demonstrate outstanding achievement in any ONE of the following areas: Indigenous Language and Culture, Fine Arts, Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies, Physical Activity, International Languages, Community/Volunteer Service, and Technical and Trades Training.


Blueridge Elementary Student Scholarship

These scholarships are awarded to attended Blueridge Elementary, are good citizens, and have the intention of pursuing post-secondary education.


Canadian Federation of University Women Scholarship

These scholarships from the Canadian Federation of University Women are awarded to two graduating young women who have successful school achievement records and have contributed to the school community.
1. Female pursuing academics at a post-secondary institution
2. School citizenship, all round, involvement in athletics, arts, or community service.
3. Financial needs of students can be considered.


Chantal Iacobellis Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes the memory of Chantal Iacobellis. The recipient of this scholarship demonstrates hard work and perseverance.
1. Experienced physical, mental, or emotional hardship and persevered.
2. Respects the value of hard work and overcoming adversity.
3. Demonstrates a commitment to continue their education at a post-secondary level.
4. Demonstrates excellent school citizenship, service and a commitment to community involvement that supports efforts towards helping others
5. Demonstrates high moral standards and integrity.
6. Inspires others to be kind, always do their best and endeavors to do the right thing in life.
7. Preference will be given to those students with financial need (not a requirement).
8. Demonstrates a commitment to their studies.
9. Preference will be given to students active in the area of music (choir, band, or classical studies), and/or extracurricular activities (may not be a requirement).


Deep Cove Lions Club

1. Post-secondary plans
2. Not receiving another award
3. Good effort
4. In good standing with the school
5. Good citizenship and community service
6. Financial need could be a consideration


District of North Vancouver Centennial Foundation Award

These scholarships are awarded to students who, primarily, have financial need.
1. Grade 12 student who resides in North Vancouver
2. In need of financial assistance
3. Not receiving another award. (preferred)


Dorothy Lynas Elementary French Immersion Student Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a student who attended the French Immersion program at Dorothy Lynas Elementary and is graduating from the French Immersion program at Windsor.


Seann Isinger Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes the memory of Seann Isinger. The recipient of this scholarship demonstrates strong effort and is pursuing post-secondary. Ends in 2023.
1. Recognizes hard work or overcoming adversity. Physical, emotion, social challenges.
2. Demonstrates high moral standards and integrity.
3. Inspires people to do their best and to do the right thing.
4. Pursing post-secondary education.
5. Honest effort in academics


Kiwanis Club of North Vancouver Scholarship

The Kiwanis Club of North Vancouver scholarship is awarded to a student who has a successful school achievement record and has made a positive contribution to the school community.
1. Community service
2. High academic achievement
3. Only one recipient


Lynnmour Elementary PAC Student Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to a student who attended Lynnmour Elementary, demonstrates good citizenship, will be attending post-secondary education.
North Vancouver High School Education Foundation (NVHSEF)
The North Vancouver High School Education Foundation is a foundation that awards scholarships and bursaries to graduating high school students across North Vancouver. Applicants are nominated by Windsor.
1. Academic Scholarships – high academic average and can speak to their leadership/involvement
2. Bursaries for students with financial need – applicants must demonstrate their need
3. Career Training Scholarships – applicants demonstrate commitment to a career pathway
4. Anthony Sedlak Career Training Scholarship for Culinary Excellence


North Vancouver School District International Students’ Scholarship

The North Vancouver School District International Students’ Scholarship is awarded to an international student who has demonstrated academic success, but equally important, is as good school citizen who embraces their opportunity as international learners. The International Counsellor will select the recipient of this scholarship.


North Vancouver Teachers’ Association Scholarship

The NVTA offers one scholarship to a graduating student who is planning to enter a teacher education program, has shown academic success, and has demonstrated citizenship.


ONNI Support Fund Committee Bursary

ONNI Support Fund Committee awards two grade 12 graduates, with above average scholastic achievement and excellent school citizenship and community involvement.
1. Excellent school citizenship and community involvement.
2. Financial need for post-secondary education.
3. Above average scholastic achievement.


Outstanding Learner

The recipient demonstrates the values of an outstanding learner: curious, strong work ethic, responsible, good achievement.


Rotary Club of Lions Gate

This scholarship is awarded to a graduating student who is planning to pursue some form of post-secondary education in the following year (academic or vocational) who has overcome a significant physical, emotional, mental or social challenge.


Seanna and Nicole Strongman “All Rounder” Awards

This scholarship honors the memory of Seanna and Nicole Strongman, two North Vancouver girls whose lives were cut short tragically at the ages of 15 and 11. This award recognizes 2 students who show commitment and dedication in five different categories:
1. Leadership
2. School Citizenship
3. Community Service
4. Involvement in Athletics or the Arts, and
5. Academic Achievement


Seymour Heights Elementary PAC Student Scholarship

These scholarships are awarded to students who attended Seymour Heights and have continued demonstration of the core values of the school.


Sherwood Park Elementary French Immersion Student Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a student who attended Sherwood Park Elementary French Immersion Program and is graduating from the French Immersion Program at Windsor. Scholarship Committee to discuss further criteria.


Mark Wilson Heart Scholarship

This scholarship is award to a student who has gone through adversity and has financial need.
1. Gone through physical, mental or emotional struggles and persevered.
2. Shows financial need.
3. No academic merit needed.


Windsor Athletics

This scholarship recognizes the top female and top male students who have demonstrated high athletic commitment and achievement.


Windsor Football Scholarship

The Senior Football coaching staff will select this scholarship recipient.


Windsor Grad Council Scholarship

The Grad Council sponsor will select this scholarship recipient.


Windsor Music Booster Association Scholarships and Bursaries

These scholarships are awarded to graduating students who have a successful school achievement record and have made a positive contribution to the Windsor Music Program.
Determined by the music department.


Windsor PAC Scholarships

Recipients have a demonstrable leadership and passion in supporting school-based activities while maintaining a high academic standard in one on the following:

 - Windsor Parent Advisory Council Award

  1. A student demonstrates long-term commitment to the school community for betterment of all.
  2. Eagerness to assist with all opportunities at school.
  3. Asset to school and community.
  4. Thoughtfulness, compassion, social responsibility in all aspects of life.
  5. 70% average or better at Windsor.
  6. Not receiving another major scholarship.


  -Windsor PAC Career Training Award

  A non-academic award that recognizes recipients who contributed the most to building and supporting    school training over the course of their attendance at Windsor, and who have demonstrable leadership a    and passion.
  1. Pursuing trades.
  2. A student in good standing.


Windsor Principal’s Award for Excellence

This scholarship is awarded to a top academic student who demonstrates outstanding citizenship.


Windsor Work Experience Scholarship

Work Experience Teacher to select the recipient of this scholarship.


Windsor Student Council Scholarship

Student Council Teacher Sponsor will select the recipient of this scholarship.


Windsor Top Scholar

This scholarship is awarded to the student with the top academic average in the graduating class.


Windsor Wolves

The recipient of this scholarship is a student who may not be recognized for their achievements.
1. Hard working, possibly had a vast improvement in work habits
2. Good citizen, contributes to the school community/culture


Windsor Yearbook

Yearbook teacher to select the recipient of this scholarship.
